Alexandra aka Dzana (she/they) is a Portland-born, Brooklyn-based, community-grown nerd existing at the the busy intersections of being a queer, brown, adopted person in a Jewish-American family.
Given by/taken from their Filipina first mother and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Dzana lives for the sun, the great outdoors, and the beach. When relaxing, she’s binging an outrageous drama, dancing bachata, or buried in a book.
Dzana’s favorite X-men is X-23, but they’re probably more of a Jubilee or Rogue. She loves to write queer stories with hints of fantasy, and holds a special place in her heart for all things magical realism. Dzana writes and dreams of futures (and pasts and presents) of care and community, where safety comes first, where people strive to work through conflict instead of struggling to avoid it, and where love is built on vast possibility, not rigid expectations.
